Entry Number 2
The book is very different from my expectations. I'm glad the author decided to go the route that he did. I like the characters in the book so far. I thought the book was going to be about a father that raises his son as a farmer. But as you know of you read the first sixteen pages that is not the case. The only similarity would be the fact that the two main characters are farmers. Gorge and Lennie have the dream to be able to have a house one day with lots of money and a woman for both of them. I think that in the end they will fulfill a section of their dream but no the whole thing. In the first chapter the author shows his ability to describe a character and to set a scene in using great imagery. Why did they get kicked of there last farm? Are they African Americans? If Lennie and Gorge are brothers?

You have a very similar entry to me. I also though that it was about a father raising his son. I also think that they got kicked off the last farm because Lennie wanted to pet a little girl. They are white not african american and I think you might be right about them being brothers. Overall a very good journal entry.
